Big Penny Social is a community-focused venue and brewery at the heart of the Blackhorse Beer Mile, Walthamstow. They asked us to bring their larger-than-life Christmas campaign to life through an identity that captured everything happening across their spaces over the festive period – from workshops and markets to immersive experiences and gaming.

The 3-in-1 identity
Evolving their bold, stripped-back master brand into a festive theme meant transforming their signature ‘pennies’ graphic into baubles, carried consistently across every touchpoint to unify the campaign.
As a key revenue driver for Big Penny, the annual Curling Lounge was given its own identity under the GO BIG banner – introducing a puck sticker device that could be deployed flexibly where needed.
Finally, the games hall, Flukes, received a festive refresh. Diamonds were incorporated across all three logo lockups, adding a sense of excitement while maintaining overall consistency.
A packed-and-packaged advent
We were tasked with bringing the festive season to life across more than 30 assets, while keeping the look and feel consistent, unified and most importantly – not cheesy.
We achieved this through subtle, graphic nods to familiar Christmas references. A dashed line transformed the venue’s event listings into an advent calendar, while a pared-back festive palette of red, off-white and green kept the system cohesive.
