About Ewa
Studio Evka was founded by London-based designer and creative director Ewa Lefmann. With over 12 years’ experience across branding, packaging and creative direction, she brings a broad frame of reference shaped by food, culture, music and London communities.
That perspective feeds a curious, lateral approach – looking beyond the usual design references to find ideas with character, relevance and feeling.
Small by design
Led by studio founder Ewa, Studio Evka flexes to fit each project. We can work independently, slot into an existing team or bring together trusted creative and strategic collaborators around the brief – keeping things flexible, collaborative and tailored to what the work actually needs.
Our values guide how we think, work and make decisions. They're also our measure of a successful project - and the best work needs all three.
Stay Curious
There’s always more to find
We look beyond the obvious, stay open to different perspectives and follow interesting threads wherever they lead. We believe the best ideas come from looking closely, asking better questions and finding connections in unexpected places.
Our gut-check:
Is there a more interesting answer?
Keep it Human
Be warm, open and direct
We make things for people, not portfolios. That means listening properly, communicating openly and leaving room for humour, emotion and play. We care about how something feels as much as how it looks.
Our gut-check:
Will people actually connect with it?
Make it Work
Good ideas should survive the real world
We balance ambition with practicality, challenging ourselves and our clients without losing sight of what people actually need to succeed. We make creative that’s designed to be used, enjoyed and built upon.
Our gut-check:
Can it live successfully in the real world?
For us, playfulness is an attitude - not an aesthetic. We care deeply about the work, without taking ourselves too seriously.
Play keeps us open to unexpected ideas. We’re playful in how we research, the references we draw from and the connections we make, and when appropriate – in the work itself.
We encourage our clients to play a little too: to be less precious, more adventurous and open to where an idea might lead.
But play is never there for its own sake. There’s always a reason behind it: we play with purpose.
“Because of her varied skill set, Ewa is able to switch between projects that require big blue-sky thinking and ones that require a more commercial lens with ease. She has a really good understanding of our brands, meaning I always have complete trust in her to nail a new brief or project.”– Kiera Maclean, Studio Manager at PROPER Snacks
Workshops for Creative people

We’re always on the lookout for opportunities to make design education accessible to everybody. By providing tools and support to disadvantaged young people who are passionate about design, but may not have had the same access to higher education or creative networks, we aim to positively influence our industry.
